Abstract (p. 194): Stimulated by a great amount western books’ coming to China with Matteo Ricci and some other Catholics at the end of 16th century, the trend of mixing Chinese and Western learning appeared and many new books in Chinese were produced at late Ming dynasty, which made the work of cataloguing them necessary at that time until today. It is helpful to the research of the history of religion and culture of China to clarify the history of the catalogues of those books. Therefore, this paper divides those catalogues into two types, the multi-topic and the single ones, investigates the whole history of each kind by ordering them from the first to the last, and summarizes the problems that should be solved before compiling a general catalogue of all of the western books in Chinese.
